2 Hour Seminar at Phillip Foster Farm on August 11,2007 click here for more info about the event Space is Limited!
The Alpaca Country Faire held at the historic Phillip Foster Farm to be held on August 11, 2007 is expanding this year and among the additions is a 2 hour “Intro to Basics Camelidynamics” training seminar taught by one of Marty McGee Bennett’s certified Practitioners, Tiffany Miller. The class will be limited to 15 participants, so register early. Class cost is $35 for the two hours. Class registrations will be handled directly through Tiffany. Click here to reserve your space. The 1st six registrants have the option of using their own animal in the class if they want. Pen space is available at $75 for the day, and will house 3-4 alpacas depending on age. This is a great opportunity for one-on-one instruction for your favorite camelid. We encourage clinic participants to stay for the performance class in the afternoon, but they must register separately for that event.
Also new to this event is an alpaca performance class that will be held in the afternoon. This class will consist of 10 alpaca friendly obstacles including haltering pen, ground poles, tarps, bridge, trailer, and plenty of open time in the morning for you to introduce your alpaca to the course. The class will be limited to 35 participants, and ribbons will be awarded to all competitors based on the scores earned on the course. (90% and above=blue, 76-89%=red, up to 75%=yellow) This is a perfect opportunity for children 10 years and above as well as adults of all ages to interact with their alpacas in a fun and educational way. Pre registration is required, and forms will be sent out in advance.
Class age requirements:
Alpacas-Females and geldings – 8 months old and above
Intact males – under 2 years old
Handlers-Children- 10 years and above
