About Tiffany Miller

I was introduced to alpacas in 2003. I began as a  volunteer doing odd jobs at a ranch in Camas,Wa. As fate would have it I was asked to train their crias (baby alpacas) and so began my search for training methods. I found Marty McGee Bennett's book  The Camelid Companion and soon attended a Basics Clinic. Applying the methods I learned was fun, challenging and very rewarding. Her methods and techniques not only made sense, they worked! Soon I started my own training business and was hired to train alpacas in Woodland, LaCenter, Ridgefield,Vancouver,Stevenson,Whidbey Island and Portland,OR.

Over the years I have developed skills that enable me to offer a variety of services to camelid owners, including teaching Camelidynamics workshops, ranch sitting, private training lessons and Camp Cria .

August 2, 2007 I became manager of Salmon Creek Alpacas in Battleground, WA. Salmon Creek Alpacas is a small ranch located on the same property as Brigand's Hideout, a small family farm owned by Nancy Ward and her husband. I have completed a 2-day Basics Clinic and four  4-day intensive, hands-on Advanced Clinics and am a certified Camelidynamics Practitioner Level 1.

Continuing to develop myself as a handler, trainer and camelid caretaker is very important to me. As a result, I attend a variety of workshops and clinics each year. In 2006 I attended WSU Neonatal Clinic by Dr. Ahmed Tibary, TTEAM Horse workshop by Debby Potts and a TTOUCH workshop by Lynne Smith.

The summer of 2007 I will be taking Dr. Toni Cotton's Neonatal workshop, a TTOUCH companion animal workshop by Debby Potts  and one more Advanced Camelidynamics Training with Marty McGee Bennett at the Camelidynamics Training facility in Bend, OR. I have dedicated myself to handling camelids-and all animals- with respect and kindness.
