About Firwood Farm Alpacas:

Firwood Farm Alpacas is located in the scenic Puyallup Valley just north of the Puyallup River.  Eastwind's Pagador, a true black 1/2 Accoyo out of Accoyo Victor, stands at stud and we currently have two of his latest crias on the ground.

Directions:

Take Hwy 167 (from the North) or Hwy 512 (from the South) and take the Milton Tacoma exit which ends on Meridian Street in Puyallup.  Turn left (south) onto Meridian and take an IMMEDIATE right onto Levee Road before crossing the bridge.  Proceed two miles (past warehouses) and take a right onto Freeman Road.  After approximately 1/2 mile, turn left onto 50th Street (dead end).  We are the third house on the left.  Just past the house is a long gravel driveway that leads to the barn.

Closest Regional Airport: Thun Field (25 minute drive)
Closest Major Airport: SeaTac (35 minute drive)
Travel Tips: Easier to fly in to SeaTac than Thun Field
Weather to expect:
Low to mid 60's; possible rain showers
Things to bring:
Light rain jacket, boots, rain hat

Lodging:
Crossland Economy Studios (253) 445-5945 (less than 5 minutes from our farm).  Group rate is $69.99 + tax per night.

Area Info:
Nestled in the shadow of majestic Mount Rainier, the Fife/Puyallup vicinity is a growing area with rich farmland mixed with industrial business.  The area boasts shopping malls as well as an antique district in downtown Puyallup.  Our farm is located just five minutes from downtown Puyallup.  We are members of the Cascade Alpaca Breeders which boasts a growing membership of 33 alpaca owners.

Directions to the ranch:

If Northbound on I-5:

Take Exit 21—Woodland / Cougar. Turn right at the end of the off ramp onto Lewis River Road, and then immediately turn right again at CC Street (the light).

Or, Southbound on I-5:

Take Exit 21—Woodland / Cougar. The road will run south, parallel to freeway, until you come to "T" intersection at Lewis River Road. Turn left and follow the signs for 503 to Cougar. Go under the freeway and turn right at the first light after the southbound off ramp, CC Street and sign says to La Center.

THEN:

This will take you south across the Lewis River bridge. As you clear the bridge bear left at the "Y" onto NW Hayes Road. If you are not on the south side of the river, you missed the turn. Go about 4.5 miles and turn right (south) on 12th Avenue after the road goes up a short but sharp hill. After about another mile you will come to a chain link pasture fence on the right. Turn right onto a gravel driveway at the south end of this fence. We are the first house on the right. Park anywhere.
